The Academic ESL Program is a stepping stone to our university programs, providing students with the means to succeed in their university education.

Program Description

The Academic ESL Program is a full time (25 hours per week) program designed for students who need to improve their English before entering the Senior Secondary or University Transfer Program. The goal of this program is to introduce students to the basics of academic writing and communication.

Program Levels

New students can enter the program every two months in one of five levels:

094 (Upper Beginner)
095 (Intermediate Level 1)
096 (Intermediate Level 2)
097 (Advanced Level 1)
097A (Advanced Level 2)

Each level is normally completed within four months. Upon registration, students are required to take a test to determine their placement.
