Students with above-average grades (“B” or better) can choose to do this fast-track program. Although students completing the Accelerated Program will not earn a high school degree or gain immediate university admission, they can enter the College’s University Transfer Program more quickly, and apply for university admission earlier than those in other Grade 12 programs.

Where applicable, prerequisite courses must be completed and may increase the number of credits required to graduate. For example, Chemistry 11 is a prerequisite to Chemistry 12; students enrolling in Chemistry 12 must have first complete Chemistry 11 or the equivalent.

On completing the above courses, students will receive the Columbia College Accelerated Program Graduation Certificate and are not directly admissible to university. With a minimum grade C (60%) on each of the four grade 12 courses taken, students may continue their studies in the University Transfer Program at Columbia College, and then apply to university as a second or third year student.
