Course Outline

Prerequisites: 15 credit hours, English 099

Required text: Hoskin, Fizzell, Davidson (2000) Financial Accounting 3rd Canadian edition, Wiley

Description: An introduction to accounting with a conceptual emphasis. Topics include understanding financial statements, cash flow, generally accepted accounting principles, revenue and expense recognition.

Grading: Final Grades will be determined according to the following
  10% Assignments
  15% Chapter Quizzes
 

50% Mid-term examinations (2 @ 25% each)

  25% Final examination
