Description of Course:
This course provides an introduction to statistics. Lectures are enhanced by examples taken from Economics and Business and computer lab sessions during which students will become familiar with Microsoft Excel. The focus is on understanding concepts, interpreting results, and spreadsheet.

- Introduction to probability;
- Statistical inference;
- Regression analysis.

Week 3: Sampling designs
Week 4: Introduction to probability
Week 5: Sampling distributions
Week 6: Introduction to inference
Week 7: Inference for means
Week 8: Inference for proportions
Week 9: Inference for two-way tables
Week 10: Inference for regression
Week 11: Multiple regression
Week 12: One way analysis of variance
Week 13: Two ways analysis of variance
