Students seeking admission to an Engineering program at a Canadian university may complete many of their first year courses at Columbia College (CC) before transferring.

CC students seeking admission to Engineering at the University of British Columbia are advised to take the following core courses and complementary electives:

*One of these courses will satisfy the English Language Requirement.

Some variation from this list may be possible, depending on the Engineering option you choose, but for most students this list is appropriate. Because of the very restrictive program options possible in Engineering, courses other than those listed above may not be given transfer standing by UBC.

CC students seeking admission to Engineering at Simon Fraser University are advised to take the following core courses and complementary electives:

*CHEM 123 is required only for the pre-medical concentration
**ENGL 100 satisfies the English language requirement for admission.
*** These courses help satisfy SFU’s Breadth requirements for Humanities and Social Sciences (the Writing (W) Breadth requirement will be satisfied by specific W courses in Engineering at SFU).

CC students seeking admission to Engineering at the University of Victoria are advised to take the following core courses and recommended electives:
