Prerequisite: C+ or higher in English 098, 099 LWA placement or equivalent external score and Sociology 110
Description of Course:
A continuation of the study of human society, normally taken after Sociology 110. While the basic aim of the course remains the application of sociological perspectives in understanding group life and individual behaviour, the focus is on topics such as race and ethnicity, sex and gender, education and religion, families, and politics and government. Students are expected to have developed a “sociological imagination”, and to demonstrate familiarity with concepts and methods discussed in Sociology 110.
