All workstations are connected via a local area network that is serviced by 12 servers and have high-speed access to the Internet.
There are two technicians who service the Computer Centre and man the help-desk to provide on-the-spot technical assistance when required. They conduct routine maintenance of hardware as well as ongoing upgrading, such as installing the latest security patches. They ensure network security with firewall and virus protection software. They also respond to other user needs such as the use of PowerPoint units, digital cameras and laptops.
