Course Description

A continuation of Mathematics 113 covering antiderivatives, techniques of integration, definite integrals, applications of integral, sequences and series, and Taylor polynomials and series.

Volumes by Slicing; Disks and Washers, Volumes by Cylindrical Shells

Length of a Plane Curve, Area of a Surface of Revolution

Week 7

Integration by Parts, Integration of Trigonometric Functions

Week 8

Trigonometric Substitution, Integration of Rational Functions by Partial Fractions

Week 9

Numerical Integration; Simpson’s Rule

Improper Integrals

Week 10

Sequences, Monotone Sequences, Infinite Series

Week 11

Convergence Tests

The Comparison, Ratio, and Root Tests

Alternating Series; Absolute and Conditional Convergence

Maclaurin and Taylor Polynomials and Series
