Columbia College (CC) is thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). This collaboration paves the way for CC students to enter the growing digital forensics and cybersecurity fields through a pathway program. If you dream of combatting cybercrime and building a career in a cutting-edge industry, this program is for you! 

What Does the Pathway Program Offer? 

CC students who complete an Associate of Science Degree in Computer Science are now eligible for direct entry into BCIT’s Bachelor of Technology in Forensic Investigation (Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity option). This program equips graduates with the knowledge and skills to: 

• Investigate and prevent cybercrimes 

• Extract digital evidence and present findings in court 

• Strengthen cybersecurity measures to mitigate digital threats 

With BCIT’s reputation for producing highly skilled graduates, students will gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge immediately applicable in the workplace. 

Program Formats 

Full-time:

• Cohort model with dedicated classmates for networking and collaboration
• 2 intakes: January and September
• 5 terms: four 15-week terms and one 4-week term
• Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm at the Downtown campus

Part-time:

• 3 intakes: January, April, and September
• Evening and weekend classes, with up to 7 years for completion
• Blended delivery (on-campus and online)
