We have partnered with student housing experts, GEC Living, to offer affordable, independent apartment living to our students. GEC Kingsway is a brand new building in East Vancouver, just 25 minutes away from our campus!

Location

Conveniently located at the intersection of Kingsway Avenue and Gladstone Street, GEC Kingsway offers easy access to everything you need. The accommodation is at 4589 Gladstone Street in Vancouver (V5N 2T4), a 25-minute direct bus ride/ skytrain to our campus. 

Just an 8-minute walk from Nanaimo SkyTrain Station, it provides a direct connection to Downtown Vancouver and Metrotown in under 30 minutes.

Surrounded by dining, shopping, and recreational options, GEC Kingsway puts daily essentials at your doorstep!

Room Types and Pricing*

*rates available until August 31, 2026.

 

Each apartment has 2 bedrooms: one private, and one shared, with a maximum of 3 students per apartment. There is also a large shared kitchen and lounge, bathroom(s) and balcony.

Private rooms are available for $1025.00 per month. These sleep one person only.

Shared rooms (bunk beds or twin beds) cost $755.00 per person per month. Two people can share a shared room.

Large Private rooms are bunk rooms with just one bed used. These rooms provide more space than a standard private room.  These sleep one person only at a rate of $1300.00 per month.

A $25 monthly insurance fee applies. Before moving in, residents must also pay a refundable damage deposit of $300.


Eligibility

To be eligible for this accommodation, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a Columbia College student
  • You must be 18 or over (over 19 if in the High School program)
  • You must be in good academic standing (not on probation)

  • Fully furnished room with desk, chair, storage space and bedding provided
  • Stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, cookware, sofa and dining table with chairs, all shared between 3-4 people
