2023 Vancouver Pride Parade

🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🌞 Vancouver Pride Parade 2023 is coming up on August 6, 2023 from 12-3PM!
At Columbia College, we strongly believe in fostering an inclusive and accepting environment for everyone. The Vancouver Pride Parade provides us with a unique opportunity to stand together in solidarity with our 2SLGBTQAI+ peers and allies and demonstrate our commitment to diversity and equality. Join us as we create a tradition of supporting family members, friends and allies of our community!
Whether you identify as 2SLGBTQAI+ or are an ally, your presence at the parade matters. Let’s show the world that Columbia College stands proudly with the 2SLGBTQAI+ community, celebrating our uniqueness and promoting an inclusive campus for all.
There will be 120 parade entries including all sorts of floats, dancers, marching groups, performers, and more! The parade begins at the intersection of Denman Street and Davie Street and will proceed 3.1km down Beach Avenue and Pacific Street, ending at Concord Community Park near Science World.
📅Date: Sunday, August 6, 2023
⌚ Time: Meet at 11am. Parade is 12-3pm.

⭐Tips for the best experience:
- Please do a good job of sun protection and drink plenty of water
- Carry small chairs or something to sit on
- Due to the large number of people watching the parade that day, those wishing to join should arrive no later than 11:15am. This is to ensure we can secure a good viewing spot.
- Plan ahead your commute to the parade and be aware of bus reroutes. Check “GETTING TO THE PARADE” at https://www.vancouverpride.ca/parade for suggestions.
About the Pride Parade
The Vancouver Pride Parade is a free, inclusive festival that celebrates diversity, enthusiasm for embracing your authentic selves, love and acceptance. It is one of the largest parades held in downtown Vancouver every August. The theme is 2023 is Let’s Reconnect!
Join Vancouver Pride Society, 2SLGBTQAI+ communities, queer serving organizations, and allies in marching for the first time along the new Parade route starting in the West End.
