HOW IT WORKS
Columbia College offers a University Transfer program designed for students planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree at a Canadian university. After earning 24 to 30 credits at Columbia College, students can transfer directly into the second or third year of university, allowing them to begin their university studies with advanced standing.
In addition, Columbia College is authorized to grant two-year Associate Degrees. These credentials, awarded after the successful completion of at least 20 courses and specific program requirements, serve both as a recognized qualification and as a pathway to third-year university admission.

Seamless Transfer Pathways
Columbia College is a recognized member of the BC Transfer System, which means your credits are widely accepted by universities across British Columbia and Canada. Columbia College’s university-level courses are pre-approved for transfer to many institutions, including University of British Columbia (UBC), Simon Fraser University (SFU, University of Victoria (UVic) and other BC colleges and universities with 4-year degree programs.
These courses are listed in the BC Council on Admissions and Transfer (BCCAT) database, and are also widely recognized across Canada and the United States. However, students are encouraged to confirm credit transferability directly with their intended university.
