Murder Mystery in Ancient Egypt

Online Olympics 1

Last month…

To kick off the Summer 2020 semester, we hosted a thrilling Online Olympics game with virtual engagement experts, Kevin and Anna from Team Building.

We gathered on Zoom for this exciting competitive event that involved mini games like trivia, drawing, running around our homes finding random objects, and more. All the while, we won points, cheered on our teams, threw shade at opposing teams, and overall had a lot of fun.

Here is what our students had to say about it:

“Super fun! The game helped me get to know new people and explore aspects of different cultures than mine.”

“I loved the parts [of the game] that made me physically move around my room looking for things.”

“My team had fun testing our trivia knowledge!”

“The host set up a lightning round of challenges for bonus points and that was unexpected.”

“It would be nice if there were more events like this.”

This story is true, and the mystery is real.

In June, we are partnering with Team Building again to bring a new adventure: Murder in Ancient Egypt!

This time, students will work together to solve a murder mystery based on a real historical event that happened in Ancient Egypt. It works similarly to Online Olympics, except instead of trivia and gathering random objects, we will solve clues, puzzles, cryptic messages, and riddles.

Teams will have to work together in a race against time and the other teams and use “escape room” mechanics to solve the mystery. At the end of the game, each team needs to have formed a story to explain the murder and find the right culprit. The team closest to the real story wins!

Adventure awaits!
