Fall 2019 DeStress for Success Week

December 2 - December 6

During the last week of classes, Student Services organizes a week-long campaign to help students destress and relax before final exams. Self care is an important aspect of student life, especially during times of high stress and anxiety. Each day of the week will give students an opportunity to participate in de-stressing activities. Check them out!

Main Campus North Campus

MONDAY, DECEMBER 2
St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs
4th Floor Student Lounge, 12-2pm

The St. John Ambulance Therapy dogs are coming back to give us nothing but lots of love! Dogs truly have a way into our hearts. Join us in welcoming our adorable furry friends with pats and belly rubs!

MONDAY, DECEMBER 2
Games Room, OPEN ALL WEEK
Room N436, 10-5pm daily

Multiplayer games open to all every day. Bring your own PS4 controllers, GameCube controllers, or your gaming laptop to play local co-op with friends.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3
Massage at CC
Room 416, 12-4pm

When is the last time you relaxed with a head and shoulder massage? Sign up at Student Services to secure a 10-minute massage with a certified massage therapist. Stop by on the day for possible availabilities.

Puzzle
Student Lounge, All Day

We’re building a puzzle! Let’s work together to finish it in one day. If that happens, we will frame it on the wall to decorate the campus!

Close your textbooks, just for a bit! Dance like no one’s watching. A true way to destress! Move that body, find your inner grooves, and blow away that stress!

Release the Tension
Room 405, 11:40am Secondary Session, 12:00pm ELC Session

Join Shasha, our new counsellor, in 15-minute relaxation sessions. Sometimes, breathing exercises with simple stretches are all you need to release the tension!

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 5
Ukulele Sessions
Library, 11:30am-12:30pm

What can be than music to help you destress? Come to the library for some cheery tunes. No previous ukulele experience is necessary – everyone is welcome!

Afternoon Stroll to False Creek
Main Floor Lobby, 2pm + 3pm

Nothing beats an afternoon stroll to calm your mind. Meet Jerica at the main floor lobby at 2 or 3pm for a stroll down to False Creek. Get some fresh air and destress!

Music Jam Session
Secondary Study Area, 10:30am-1:30pm

Join us at the Secondary Study Area at lunch. Everyone is welcome to play or listen! We’ll cover all your favourite songs.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6
Dance Like No One’s Watching… II!
North Campus Student Lounge, 11:30am-12:30pm

Couldn’t attend the dance event on Wednesday? Can’t wait to dance even more? Join CC students at the North Campus Student Lounge to have the best combined dance session. Guaranteed fun!
