Peer Café

One of our Columbia College clubs, EmpowerHER, is working together with MOSAIC, a Vancouver-based charity, to bring Peer Café Workshop to Columbia College!
This interactive 2-hour workshop encompasses aspects of prevention, such as engaging in dialogue and defining gender-based violence, sexual assault, consent, and rape culture as well as discussing the cultural expectations observed in the host culture.
Peer Café will be a space and opportunity for international students to engage in dialogue about the process of acculturation, transition, and their values and beliefs around consent and sexual assault. It will be a time where students can learn about resources and their options. Most importantly, it will be a space to learn how to support your peers, loved ones, and yourself. Learn how to be an active bystander!
