Respect at Work Legal Clinic by Migrant Workers Centre

The Migrant Workers Centre will be hosting a “Respect at Work Legal Clinic” workshop on Tuesday September 22nd from 2:30pm – 3:30pm.
The participants in the workshop will learn what constitutes sexual harassment and what to do if they or someone they know experience workplace sexual harassment. Participants will also gain a better understanding of the legal options. Furthermore, the training will help participants to understand the unique vulnerability of newcomers while facing sexual harassment. The presentation is meant to be interactive and include a case study and time for discussion.
Some of the topics included:
- Brief introduction to employment law in BC
- What is workplace sexual harassment?
- What should someone do if they face sexual harassment? What are the legal options?
- ISSofBC & MWC Respect at Work Legal Clinic
- Case studies and discussion
