Math Placement Test (MPT 2 with 24) or Mathematics 100 or Mathematics 110 with C- or Precalculus 12 with minimum grade of C.

Note: Credit will only be granted for one of MATH 111 or MATH 113 or MATH 115

This is the first course in calculus and it is a requirement for students in Commerce, Economics, or Business. Topics include review of basic functions, limits, derivatives, and applications of derivatives. The emphasis is on applications and examples rather than theory. The course covers review of elementary functions, limits, continuity, derivatives and antiderivatives of the elementary functions, and applications of the derivative in graphing and extremum problems.
